The 18-hole championship golf course is ranked among the top resort courses in Australia.

Located in the beautiful wine district of the Hunter Valley, Cypress Lakes is a picturesque 6,487 metre par 72 18-hole championship golf course and is ranked among the top resort courses in Australia.

Unveiled in 1992, it was designed by Steve Smyers of Florida. From the Black championship markers, the layout is a length of 6,487m par 72, but reduces to 6,019m from the men's Blue tees with the ladies facing a distance of 5,216m. The front nine is a links style layout  par 37 and the back nine is tree lined with sloping fairways par 35. With a total of over 60 huge bunkers and dramatically shaped and elevated greens with each tee and green offering stunning panoramic views of the Hunter Valley's famous vineyards and the surrounding Brokenback mountain range.
