Wine Connoisseur Jeff Long!
Food & Beverage Manager/ Sommelier, Jeff Long is the recent addition to the Bodega Restaurant and Bar family. Jeff's passion and interests are in the technique of wine making, wine matching and wine appreciation in Australia.
Long's career commenced by successfully completing a 24-month course with Bensons Institute of Hospitality Management and Wine Science in Canberra ACT. At the age of 21, Long was appointed into the role of Manager & Sommelier at Newton's Restaurant in Newtown, Sydney where his career took off. Working for and learning from many reputable restaurants and wineries throughout Australia and Europe is what makes Long highly sought after in the industry.
In the last 16 years Long has gone from being the Senior Head Waiter at Bank Restaurant, London, to the Restaurant Manager at The Royal Oak Restaurant (The Mean Fiddler) in Rouse Hill, Sydney. In addition to his work in restaurants, prior to Bodega Restaurant & Bar, Long was the Food & Beverage Manager at Bimbadgen Winery where he was responsible for the management and achievement of high profile concerts, wedding's corporate functions and Esca's Restaurant.
It is these experiences and skills that Long brings to Bodega Restaurant & Bar. Long uses the proficiency of a counselor, a teacher, business executive and adventurer to successfully implement what a fine sommelier is about. Jeff is passionate about two things: wine & people and it is because of this Grand Mercure Apartments, Cypress Lakes Resort & Bodega Restaurant & Bar welcome Jeff Long to the team!
